Sautéed Mushroom and Broccoli with Everything Bagel Seasoning

Ingredients:

For the Vegetables:

2 cups broccoli florets

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (button, cremini, or shiitake work well)

2 tablespoons olive oil (or sesame oil for extra flavour)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or minced


For the Sauce:

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for added depth)

1 teaspoon honey (or maple syrup for sweetness)

1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)


For the Seasoning & Garnish:

1 teaspoon Avohaven Everything Bagel Seasoning

1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)


Instructions:

Prepare the Ingredients:

Wash and dry the broccoli florets and mushrooms.

Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and a pinch of chilli flakes. Set aside.


Blanch the Broccoli:

Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.

Add the broccoli florets and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.

Drain and immediately transfer the broccoli to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.


Sauté the Vegetables:

Heat olive oil or sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the mushrooms and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and start to brown.


Combine and Stir-Fry:

Add the blanched broccoli to the pan with the mushrooms.

Pour the prepared sauce over the vegetables and toss to coat evenly.

Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until the broccoli is heated through and the sauce slightly thickens.

Sprinkle Avohaven Everything Bagel Seasoning over the dish and toss gently to distribute.


Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the stir-fry for garnish.

Serve hot as a side dish or over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
